We spend many hours just sitting in the chairs overlooking the lake. We loved the huge windows in our room also overlooking the lake. The animals (donkeys, sheep, and ponies) make the lace extra special. We had a car but also took Ubers to and from town—a quick 10min ride. The tour companies also know this property Staff was fantastic. Niki worked the breakfasts when we were there and she was wonderful. So friendly and kind, she took excellent care of us. She gave us tips on places to go, always asked how our stay was, and truly cared that we were having a nice stay there.

The Princes Gate is a historical, boutique-style hotel in the centre of Rotorua. This classical 4-star hotel is opposite the Polynesian Spa and the famous Government Gardens. We loved our room no’19 it was very tastefully decorated, the bed was comfy and the bathroom very clean. We ate in the restaurant and have to say the service was excellent and the food was way up there in presentation and taste The location was excellent for what we wanted to do We have already recommended to family and friends who are coming to New Zealand
