The property is within 5 minutes’ walk of shops, cafés and restaurants and opposite to the Len Lye / Govett Brewster Art Gallery Unique, modern industrial with just the right coziness. Great concept situated near business center and combines multiple restaurants and spaces for casual or informal meetings with colleagues and clients. Staff are energized and friendly. It was less expensive than other locations I normally stay at. Wish I found it sooner and will always be first pick going forward.

Lake Taupo and Tokaanu Thermal Pools are within 5 minutes’ drive from Creel Lodge. The Tongariro National Park’s ski fields and walking trails are 40 minutes’ drive away. Creel Lodge is different from the usual motel in its layout. The grounds are really beautiful with lots of plants and lawns. In addition at the back of the property there is a gate leading down to the river path. Highly recommended!

The place has character.

It was centrally located. The room was comfortable and clean. It had a heated pool and the staff was friendly. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Auckland.

Guests can enjoy sea views. Mike and Wookie were the perfect hosts with the perfect home! We were so lucky we had the chance to stay with them and only wish we had more time. The space is fabulous, well equipped and very clean. The hot tub with the view made it so memorable. And having morning breakfast with Mike’s delicious food and Wookie keeping us company made us feel at home. If you’re lucky enough to snag an apartment here book it!
