Avalon, in a tranquil garden setting, offers self-catering cottages with free Wi-Fi and balconies overlooking the valley and the Puketotora River. Beautiful setting and very comfortable accommodation. Loved the spa and the natural pool. The bbq area was also really lovely. Our cottage was well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay.

The room was clean, spacious with a spectacular view over the bay. Not to mention the delightful breakfast prepared by Mike. We loved the staying here very much and would highly recommend this place to our friends.

It's located at the top of a hill and has outstanding views. Jeanette our host was absolutely lovely and made it feel like we were staying with family. Breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked each day with the choice of continental with yummy fresh fruit salad as an added bonus or a eggs, bacon and such. The lodge is not right in town center, but it's a short 15 walk to get to the cafes and restaurants. It's also within 10 to 1 hour drive to many awesome experiences and places. So you can see beautiful beaches and go surfing near by, do walking routes and explore cliffs, forrest and waterfalls or even a little city life in Whangarei.

It was quiet and had excellent views. The service was very personal and as a solo traveller I felt well cared for. The breakfast was excellent and hours flexible.

Overlooking the sparkling waters of Mangonui Harbour, Mangonui Waterfront Apartments is the most centrally and conveniently located accommodation in the historic and beautiful village of Mangonui. Lovely room with a beautiful view which was in walking distance of restaurants, pub and grocery shop. Coopers beach is a 5 minute drive away and we went for 2 walks along the beach while we were there for the weekend.

Very clean well maintained. Very European feel. Wonderful welcome. Ordered delicious breakfast brought to our room. Great little spot on Quay to go to dinner (town basin area).

The host is friendly and helpful.

Surrounded by lovely gardens and situated on the waterfront, Hananui Lodge and Apartments features accommodation with free WiFi, a private balcony or patio and an LCD TV. The location was perfect the rooms we booked had a beautiful Seaview which was just amazing The apartments were modern and clean, the hosts were super lovely and accommodating provided kayaks and paddle boards the the kids which they loved
