The rooms are spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. Such a lovely place to stay; I’ll definitely be back!

Situated within the grounds of the impressive Larnach Castle, surrounded by stunning gardens, you'll find Larnach Lodge and Stables stay. If you can budget for the stay, it was well worth it! The staff were amazing, the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was delicious, rooms were comfortable with everything you need and more! It was a truly wonderful experience for my whole family, and we would recommend this to anyone traveling on holiday to Dunedin.

In the little creek behind the garden lives an eel who’s very close to the host, John — she’s surprisingly smart, and loves interacting with people. I highly recommend saying hello to her!
