The property is within 5 minutes’ walk of shops, cafés and restaurants and opposite to the Len Lye / Govett Brewster Art Gallery Just a lovely place, such a fantastic location & had complimentary bikes to go along. When our bikes didn’t work they gave us complimentary e-bikes! I really felt listened to & that is a first! Also they offer great deals with neighbouring restaurants (which are fantastic!!!)

It provides modern rooms, some of which feature a wood burning fire and private outdoor spa. No breakfast included, lovely big room very large comfortable bed, the resturant on site was great, lovely complex would stay again

Located in the heart of New Plymouth, walking distance to the city's finest restaurants, art, retail and business precincts. The State Hotel is a 15 room boutique hotel and only a 5-minute walk to the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway. I'm so glad that i chose this hotel for my stay in New Plymouth. It was definitely the best hotel on my trip. It has high-quality furnishings and a great interior design. The fragrance alone when you enter the hotel is great. Good location for Restaurants and visiting New Plymouth in generell. Free Parking lots and fast WLAN aswell.

This is a great place to stay in the area. The room was very clean and the king size bed with high quality linens provided excellent rest. Comfortable bathroom completes the package. The onsite restaurant offers great food (salmon egg benedict was so tasty). The hotel is managed by great couple who take genuine interest in your needs and are ready to help. The staff were great and very helpful with unexpected level of attention to details. Highly recommended!

Some units at the property feature a balcony with a city view. We were greeted by lovely, helpful, friendly people who went out of their way to suggest great places to eat and visit. The room was really comfortable and clean, nicely furnished and decorated. Sadly, we could only stay one night and wish it could have been more

A beautiful villa with lovely comfortable rooms. I had a lounge and kitchen to use. I felt like I was at home. Very friendly & kind hosts. I was made a lovely evening cheese & fruit platter, rather than bfast for 2 days & on the 3rd I had a buffet of cereal,yogurt, bacon, fritters and fresh veges.& juice Yum. The host even dropped me at the airport, that was unexpected and very appreciated . I will be back .
