The property is non-smoking and is set 50 km from Taranaki Falls. Ranfurly Cottage is just delightful. Alison and Ron are really friendly and helpful. The cottage is super clean, quiet and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. It's around a 30 minute drive to National Park and all the walks. We would definitely stay here again.

This was excellent for the cost. It is a 'backpacker' type accomodation but was clean, cosy, everythinng worked well, staff were very helpful. If you are on a budget you will be very pleased, if you just like to save you will be very happy here. If you want luxury look elsewhere. But clean comfortable quiet handy, this is great. We are mid 60's and could easily pay more but like to save and we liked it and would stay here again.

An excellent location right in the heart of Tongariro National Park, making it a great base to explore and go on walks. The views all around are stunning, and we enjoyed spending time in the cosy shared lounge and kitchen to take in some of these views. The garden spa is also very enjoyable and quite affordable to book for private use. We were happy with the facilities of the shared bathroom and laundry. We also appreciated having a sink in our room. The room and other spaces were also kept comfortably warm.

Lovely hosts, cozy, well designed and well appointed room. Great location for shuttle to Tongariro Alpine Crossing, about 15-20 minutes and very close to Foursquare supermarket and hike equipment rental centre. Overall very, very satisfied!

Gorgeous apartment and really well appointed. Lots of space for us all - everything we needed and great location. Bathrooms are particularly lovely, and with floor heating which would be great in the winter.

A gorgeous, boutique alpine experience. Daniel was really friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The cottage was warm, immaculate and smelled of cedar wood. The sheets were lovely quality. The breakfast was delicious. The optional extra alpine bath outdoors was well worth it after a day at the snow. Highly recommend this beautiful hidden gem.
