We had a very short and rainy turnaround in Puno and the staff and hotel made it a very relaxing experience.

Clean, fine food, helpful stuff. What most impressed me is the fact that I have forgotten my cardholder in the hotel room. The same day from the hotel called me and arranged to send the cardholder to my new place in Arequipa. I would like to express gratitude to the honest stuff of the hotel! Thank you!

It also has a sky room restaurant with panoramic views of Titicaca lake, which is a 5-minute drive away. The room was clean and light, great water pressure and nice bath tub, comfortable bed and a small fridge available. We want to highlight the extremely helpful staff and the great service we received. They even called us when they realized we had not had breakfast yet to remind us. We also had altitude sickness and they were available 24/7, with coca tea, calling a doctor at 1:30am and a taxi before 6am.

The room is cozy and not too cold (for Peruvian standards in winter). The host was incredibly kind, he helped us by keeping our backpacks all day long and with recommendations. Breakfast was also rich and tasty.

Taypikala Hotel Lago boasts recently refurbished Colonial style galleries and a spacious lobby with interior plants, polished parquet floors and elegant cream-coloured sofas. Had a really nice stay here. The staff were great. Not very busy when we were here. Good value. Great location.
