The room is cozy and not too cold (for Peruvian standards in winter). The host was incredibly kind, he helped us by keeping our backpacks all day long and with recommendations. The simply-furnished rooms at Pukara House include cable TV, a private bathroom and a safety deposit box. Amazing hot shower - good pressure, very hot water. The room was very clean and spacious. There was a small heater in the room, which definitely helped to keep the room warmer, taking in account that it was -2-4C outside at night. Breakfast was simple but decent - scrambled egg, fresh juice, fruits, bread, cheese, coffee, etc. Staff was very nice and sweet, I think they spoke only Spanish (though I didn't try any English with them) The internet also worked well, though I didn't use it much

Taypikala Hotel Lago boasts recently refurbished Colonial style galleries and a spacious lobby with interior plants, polished parquet floors and elegant cream-coloured sofas. Had a really nice stay here. The staff were great. Not very busy when we were here. Good value. Great location.
