The property has lake and pool views, and is 7.4 km from Roman City of Ammaia. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk and parking on-site. Breakfast was amazing and host super accommodating for anything more we may have wanted. We were treated like family.

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva. It features an outdoor pool, hot tub and free Wi-Fi. We liked how welcoming Victoria was. She was an excellent host. Our room (#3) was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. We liked the proximity to Monsaraz and to the OLA stargazing as both were just 5 minutes away. It was a good base for 4 days with day trips to Monsaraz, Evora and Estromoz. We plan on returning for a fall or spring visit.
