Located within the walls of the Marvão Castle, at the top of the high village of Marvão, Dom Dinis Marvão features a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi® and panoramic views of the countryside below. It offers air-conditioned guestrooms. We got upgraded to the best room, that has a small terrace with a stunning view and direct access to the jacuzzi that we also enjoyed after booking in the reception. Everyone was nice, the room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast.

Housed in a former Alentejo convent, it dates back to the 12th century with 750 hectares. A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.

All in all, this was the best hotel experience I've had for a very long time

Place was so unique with gardens and house but mostly the animals stole my heart! I would recommend this stay!

The Estalagem de Marvão is located within the historic walled town center of Marvão. This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. I like the building and its facilities very much, very comfortable. It was cold outside, but warm inside cause of the heater. João is very friendly and helpful who even came to help with the luggage and help to book the restaurant. The breakfast was rich and the location was great. But it was raining heavily and foggy, so I couldn't visit the castle, but I will come here again.

All meals are available upon request and a candlelight dinner can be served. We loved everything about our stay at Casa do Governador. A very peaceful spot just a few minutes drive from Evora. The property is extensive with olive groves and vineyards to wander through. The pool was refreshing after a hot day touring Evora. We stayed in the main house and the room was large, beds comfortable. Staff were very attentive and helpful for our requests. Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold options and we had dinner one night that was delicious. Would highly recommend a stay at this gracious country home.

It is set 7.4 km from Roman City of Ammaia and provides room service. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk and parking on-site. Very kind owners. Good breakfast. Nice ambiente in the middle of the village. Parking in front of the hotel. Quiet in the night.

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva. It features an outdoor pool, hot tub and free Wi-Fi. We liked how welcoming Victoria was. She was an excellent host. Our room (#3) was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. We liked the proximity to Monsaraz and to the OLA stargazing as both were just 5 minutes away. It was a good base for 4 days with day trips to Monsaraz, Evora and Estromoz. We plan on returning for a fall or spring visit.
