Located within the walls of the Marvão Castle, at the top of the high village of Marvão, Dom Dinis Marvão features a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi® and panoramic views of the countryside below. Hotel was right in the village next to the castle. Really cute and cozy. Even had a fire in the breakfast room. Room had a terrace with fantastic views of the valley. Highly recommend staying there.

Surrounded by vast, tree-lined gardens, the charming Convento São Paulo offers 2 outdoor pools a tennis court and offers 4 padel courts. The dinner was excellent, which surprised us. Both my did & my husband were great! Service was good.

Featuring an outdoor pool, Royal Cocoa Company Palace offers accommodation in Montemor-o-Novo. The unit is in a chocolate factory, integrated into a palatial estate. We have loved our stay in this beautiful hotel! The owners are super nice and attentive. Breakfast, rooms and pool are great! Highly recommend this Palacete!

This property is located in the country side on a 5-minute drive out of Évora, one of Portugal’s most historic cities and the famed Roman Temple. * Very kind, helpful hosts/proprietors, who are available to let you in at the gate when you first arrive and call them. They also explain "rules" of the property clearly and show you to your room, and check if you are interested in arranging a breakfast / other meal for an additional fee. * Beautiful property exactly as described (there are plenty of animals around the property) * A small part of the house is available at night-time, only for access to some paid food+drink the hosts make available (wine, beer, some food), as well as some free food items (cake, water, possibly coffee, I believe) * I had a car and parking was very easy as well. In my case, I was able to park right in front of my building.

Set in a refurbished traditional Alentejo house is 3 km from Évora. Accommodations at Governador are bright and come with views of the surrounding country landscape. Some units have a four-poster bed.... The house was a beautiful old house. We loved the decoration. The public area was fantastic. The breakfast was very good. The attitude of the staff was very good. We ate once dinner which was very delicious.

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva. We liked how welcoming Victoria was. She was an excellent host. Our room (#3) was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. We liked the proximity to Monsaraz and to the OLA stargazing as both were just 5 minutes away. It was a good base for 4 days with day trips to Monsaraz, Evora and Estromoz. We plan on returning for a fall or spring visit.
