Atlantida Mar is a contemporary hotel featuring designer guestrooms with panoramic views. I loved the breakfast and easy access to the beach trail. I also loved that it was quiet and clean.

Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort is located in Ribeira Grande, north coast of São Miguel Island. Location- right on a cliff overlooking a beautiful black sand beach. Perfect! Rooms, spacious with a private hot tub that was quite relaxing. Breakfast- just the right amount of local products with the included option of made to order eggs and other quality items. Very well prepared!

Filipe the host was amazing!! So helpful and welcoming. We received an amazing welcome basket and the place was amazingly equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location is amazing!! On the water but still close to everything in town. If Im back I’m definitely booking again 🙌🏻

Located in the city of Ponta Delgada, on the south coast of São Miguel Island, CASA DA ILHA - Slow Living Residence & Suites offers a prime location by the sea. Forno da Cal Beach is a 5-minute walk. Everything was perfect. The house, the hosts, the breakfast. Definitely recommend!!

The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe. We loved our stay at Octant - the facilities are brilliant and we also enjoyed massages on the day we arrived. The staff are extremely friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and the food was lovely - particularly the Wreck fish and the Beef Cheeks. Our stay at Octant was the perfect end to our trip to the Azores.

Located in a small bay of the Azorean island of Pico, the design Pocinhobay offers individually decorated rooms facing Faial Island. It is located a 10-minute drive from Madalena village. We stayed in one the villas. It was extremely private and there was so much attention to detail. The gardens are lovely. The outdoor shower was my favorite.

The Azorean Urban Lodge is a refurbished one-hundred-year-old building featuring a magical terrace with dining tables and an outdoor pool. Free WiFi access is available. This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.

Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combines a natural setting with history, art, and sea views. We had an incredible stay at Pico do Refúgio, enjoying the unique experience of being the only guests for the week in this charming former tea factory. The location, atmosphere, fireplace, and cozy interior truly made our trip special. It was such a pleasure to return after a busy day to a place that felt like home. Ana was a fantastic host, and the service was exceptional. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and after a couple of delayed flights, we were warmly welcomed with appetizers upon arrival. We especially appreciated the privacy and peacefulness of the place, as well as the stunning surroundings, including Santa Bárbara Beach and Lagoa do Fogo. Simply amazing!
