Picture a visit to stay with your favorite aunt in her traditional family home where she will spoil you for your entire visit - such was our visit with Idália! The location in V.N. de Milfontes is pretty perfect, right in the center of the original town, very close to the river Mira and the fortress/castle, but away from the main drag. We made use of the guest kitchen and living room upstairs on a few cool evenings to play cards and sip some excellent Alentejo red wine. Gorgeous wild beaches to explore each day along with sections of the Fisherman‘s Trail. A perfect place to experience Portugal!

Três Marias is located in the serene countryside of the Northern Alentejo, just 4 km from Aivados Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Mules , 3 ostriches and 3 donkeys are permanent residents at the hotel. I can’t where to start to describe how much we like this place. We plan to bring our whole family here to experience it.

Casas Do Moinho is ideally situated in a natural park, close to several beaches. It offers 5-star accommodation with free WiFi and includes an outdoor swimming pool with panoramic views. Beautiful small houses with a great view and swimming pool! All modern well equipped and cool at night. With great breakfast and two small restaurants for diner of great quality. But even better is the hospitality. Very friendly, flexible and ready to help. This was our best stay on the Rota Vicentina!

Overlooking Mareta Beach, this modern boutique hotel in the heart of the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park offers a tropical palm garden with a sundeck and hot tub. Perfect position right at the beach. We were unable to secure an ocean view room so had a small street view room, but the beautiful downstairs common areas and outdoor gardens made up for the lack of space in our room. Wonderful place to stay perfectly clean and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Loved it here.
