Nestled along the Douro River, Douro Hotel Porto Antigo. is housed in a historic building. It features an outdoor swimming pool, in-house massages and a restaurant serving European dishes. Gorgeous view of the river. Staff was really nice and attentive.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. The location in a mountain village with views over Douro valley is amazing. We arrived by train to Pinhão station and took a taxi to the hotel. It’s 15 minutes drive with awesome views and it costs around 12€. You should definitely take the dinner prepared by the owner himself, it worths a gourmet restaurant’s menu with wine pairing. Even if it is not said, actually it includes the experience of tasting different kinds of wine from their own vineyard. As we informed Senhor Miguel earlier, the dinner menu was adapted to my parents’ alimentary restrictions. The hotel itself is in a renovated mansion like historical building, so full of charm. We will definitely come back and we will definitely order their great red wine that we can’t forget!

Spectacular views. My wife and I climbed up and walked through the orange and pear trees among the vineyards and over looked the valley and the river. Breakfast was yummy including orange marmalade and jams made on the property. We were lucky enough to meet the family that runs the property which are lovely people.

The stay in Casa da Azenha was amazing and exceeded my expectations. It's a place that feels like home. Special thanks to Maria for making sure I have a good stay from before my arrival until the last minute I was there. The staff welcomes you with arms wide open and big smiles! The garden is heavenly - full of flowers and fruits. The room is very comfortable (sheets and mattress are amazing). There is also a parking inside for the cars, which is very convenient! I will definitely go back.

Breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented with lots of options for all dietary needs. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious. There was enough food and extras left over.And we even received some tips on how to make the delicious cakes that the host prepared.
