Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. It was all in the details: the most wonderful stay. My only regret is not staying longer.

Nestled along the Douro River, Douro Hotel Porto Antigo. is housed in a historic building. It features an outdoor swimming pool, in-house massages and a restaurant serving European dishes. Was able to check in early which was helpful. The hotel is in the most splendid position on the river with fantastic views. Service was excellent, friendly professional staff, very helpful. Restaurant was lovely.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. For me, 10 is too low score for this property. This is one of those places where you want to come back. You don’t feel like guest, but returning friend. It’s old building with modern facilities, everything what you can expect from hotel. What makes difference is dinner, go for it. It’s cooked with passion and accompanied by local wine(s). You meet everyone who is there - place isn’t big, just 8 rooms. You mingle, get to know new people and enjoy atmosphere. And food is delicious, and not same every day according to those who spent few nights there.

Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. Many thanks to the hotel staff for making our stay comfortable.

The staff is kind and friendly, it’s small ( I think 6-8 rooms) so not overcrowded. They prepare meals on site. It was absolutely charming and the « slow life » needed for this holiday! Highly recommend! 5 *****

Very spacious clean room with beautiful balcony views and large bathroom. Lovely garden and pool area. Exceptional breakfast with excellent selection and attentive staff. Manuel provided great suggestions for restaurants and quinta tours/visits.

Offering an outdoor pool surrounded by vineyards and a lush garden area, Casa da Azenha is located in Lamego. Free WiFi access is available in this farm stay. Great location, nice people and cool to have a swimming pool !!

Everything about this place is amazing and beyond expectations. The host Margarida has done an exceptional job at renovating a family home to welcome you. We loved her genuine friendliness, advice and honest chats about living and growing up in Portugal. Her brother, Luis has an informative, unique and tasty wine tour experience on the property. Don't forget to book this. The quality of sleep and breakfast is top star! and the wines and olive oil are so good too.

Everything was perfect down to the smallest details. Our suite was poolside with a door off of every room. Every room had all the comforts of home and more. We had a pool to ourselves since there were few guests mid-week. The breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner but Resende was a 7 minute drive with restaurants and grocery stores. The view from any location within Quinta do Outeiro is breath-taking. We found everything was very clean. The staff were so attentive and accommodating for our entire stay. We will definitely visit again.
