Featuring free WiFi access available throughout, Hotel Fabrica do Chocolate offers rooms in Viana do Castelo, a 6-minute walk from the Lima River. Everything was just great. The welcome drink, the unique camino stamp, the museum tour, the chocolates in the room. Room was abit small, only because we had 2 luggages. Breakfast was simply marvellous. Just wished I had more time to linger & enjoy the spread & hot chocolate.

The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. This was the best hotel we stayed in all our Portugal trip . The room was spacious super clean and charming. The decor is extremely nice and the location in the Oliveira square is super. The best hotel in guimaraes.

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. This poussada has old world charm, with a magnificent view of Guimarães. The town centre, only 2km walk away, is listed as a World UNESCO Heritage Site. Restaurant is very good for dinner, ensure you have a table by booking ahead, even if staying there. Excellent restaurants in Guimares as well. The staff were all friendly, kind and attentive. Our 3 nights here with friends were a highlight of our 26 days in Portugal.

Located in Braga, Tea 4 Nine Guest House lunch is served in the apartments. This self-catering accommodation features free WiFi. The flat offers a lot of space, the location is very central and the lady who greeted us was very friendly. The underground car park for our car was also right outside the door. Everything was great!

Located within Guimarães city wall, in a manor house from the 18th century, Casa do Juncal combines history with modern comfort and elegance. A special thank you to the wonderful Shaira, whose warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. Her kindness added a personal touch that made our stay unforgettable.

Located in a pedestrian street of Viana do Castelo city centre, Casa Manuel Espregueira e Oliveira is a renovated 19th-century townhouse with a 24-hour reception and an airport shuttle. I had no idea what I was booking when I had to find a hotel for one night lastminute while in Viana do Castelo. Had I known what a gem this place was, I would have stayed here for the full time that I was in town. It was beautiful, historic, and run by a team that you can tell really, really cares about hospitality. Everyone I met was lovely. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious, the breakfast was perfect, and the gardens were a lovely treat. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer to soak in the spirit of this place. If I have the luck of passing by Viana do Castelo again, this is where I will stay.

Situated between the city of Braga and the Gerês Mountain Range, this luxurious hotel is a former Cistercian Monastery of the XII century. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Beautifully restored monastery with an atmoshere of peace and tranquility . Very spacious common areas . Nice view . Nice garden . Nice swimming pool . Very friendly staff . We shall come back
