The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe. The hotel is very nice. The pool from the room was heated and a very nice experience. The breakfast was very good, with a big buffet, better than other places on the island. Also the restaurant, has very good food, but a bit pricey.

Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort is located in Ribeira Grande, north coast of São Miguel Island. Beautiful seafront location and grounds. Large rooms with lovely decor. Great food.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Lodge. The perfect accommodations and a stones throw from the lake, it was our favorite place we stayed in the island. Nestled into a lush garden landscape, we were completely enchanted walking through the property. The bungalows were so inviting, cozy and warmly decorated. The baskets of food and wine were a wonderful touch. We can’t wait to come back again!

Very nice stay at Casa da Ilha Ponta Delgada: room is clean,comfortable, with seaviews, good value for money. Also the bathroom. Not to mention the daily breakfast with good local products. The staff is very nice, they offer advice to make your stay more enjoyable. The property is located at the end of the promenade from the city center, a very nice walk.

The best part about this hotel is the staff - all of them were kind, helpful and truly made this stay special. The breakfast is good and has a rich bread section. The location of the hotel is excellent to explore Ponta Delgada. Rooms are clean and cozy.

VIP Executive Azores features a restaurant with panoramic ocean views. The hotel is less than 1 km from Ponta Delgada Marina. Very convenient location, very clean and the staff were extremely friendly! Yummy breakfast too!

The Azorean Urban Lodge is a refurbished one-hundred-year-old building featuring a magical terrace with dining tables and an outdoor pool. Free WiFi access is available. This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.

Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combines a natural setting with history, art, and sea views. Gorgeous apartment and grounds! It is clear that this retreat is cared for by artist hosts; every detail is thoughtfully implemented from the interior design to the breakfast variety. We didn’t want our trip to end.

The colourful Vintage Place - Azorean Guest House is located in S. Miguel Island, within a 5-minute walk from the historical Ponta Delgada centre. A huge surprise to find a stay even better than hoped all was perfect and staff amazing. Raul the manager was so great. We will stay again. Thanks
