Gasthaus Alte Post is located in the historic centre of Sighişoara, just 300 metres from the Clock Tower, and offers a restaurant serving local Transylvanian cuisine. Location is excellent, right next to the Citadel and main tourist area. Plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The property is charming, like an old inn with wooden floors. Room was very comfortable with down comforters and pillows. There was even a ductless Toshiba heater/air conditioning, which is very surprising in Europe. Mai heating done through radiators which was adequate. Bathroom showers has full closing glass doors which was nice. No slippery tiles. Small refrigerator in room. The included breakfast was more than adequate. Don’t miss fresh cider and local jam. I had dinner in the restaurant and the Spaghetti Carbonara was very good, with smoked Guanicale or pork cheek. The staff was polite but not very helpful in talking about local attractions. I think their awkwardness at their language skills must have embarrassed them. They were as helpful as expected. I was in shoulder season so it was quite empty. I like it that way. I suspect that the restaurants in the square get noisy at night.

Newly opened in 2014, Hotel Tempo is 200 metres from the Mures River and 1,500 metres from the centre of Targu Mures. The hotel is a modern building in a beautiful city. The breakfast was amazing and the rooms were clean. When we arrived, we had an issue with the AC unit, and the receptionist offered us a different room immediately. The staff was extremely friendly, and the beds were comfortable.

Casa Lia is a guest house located in the centre of Sighisoara Fortress, right next to the Shoemakers Tower and just 200 metres from the Clock Tower. If I could give 100 stars to this place and his owner, I would do it. This was the best experience I had in Romania. The location was the best, our room was super comfortable and the host (Marius) was the best I ever had in a long time.

Right in the middle of the citadel but quiet. With a lovely view from the balcony which has enough room to sit outside and eat with six.

Very modern and clean hotel. Excellent food and the staff was super nice. Loved the attention given to my child in the restaurant.

Situated in Sovata, 7 km from the ski slope and 200 metres from Ursu Lake, Vila Silvia features free WiFi, free access to a sauna and a fitness centre, as well as a large yard with a barbecue and an... Amazing stay! A place from a fairy tale and the staff really kind and welcoming. The room comfy and clean, everything feels pretty cozy. Even the price was pretty OK and the location is also perfect.

Nested in the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara, Casa Georgius Krauss is a UNESCO historic building from the XVI-th century, offering uniquely designed rooms and a restaurant with 2 terraces. Love the location and feel of the hotel. Staff is always professional and friendly.

Centrally located in Sighișoara Medieval Citadel, Casa Cositorarului is a guest house with mediaeval decorations providing views of the citadel and a restaurant serving Romanian cuisine. I have stayed in 50+ hotels the last 10 weeks. This is probably the best one. It sits quite high on the already hilly old town of the fairy tale town av sighisoara. The owner is cool and sweet. She will help you with every possible enquiry. So host and location is top class. Now, the rooms. Sometimes you come across someone who cares. Who seems more interested in fulfilling a vision and passion, rather than just squeezing out as much money as possible. The bed is for princesses and princes. Incredible. The quality and charm of the decor is to die for. The bathroom is a spacious and bathtub such a lovely bonus. Fridge works great, with a top drawer freezer compartment. The bar is just downstairs with a great menu for salads and omelette etc. And coffee drinks and cocktails. All you need! Staying here will be an experience In itself. I really recommend it with utmost sincerity. Cheers!
