Gasthaus Alte Post is located in the historic centre of Sighişoara, just 300 metres from the Clock Tower, and offers a restaurant serving local Transylvanian cuisine. Location is excellent, right next to the Citadel and main tourist area. Plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The property is charming, like an old inn with wooden floors. Room was very comfortable with down comforters and pillows. There was even a ductless Toshiba heater/air conditioning, which is very surprising in Europe. Mai heating done through radiators which was adequate. Bathroom showers has full closing glass doors which was nice. No slippery tiles. Small refrigerator in room. The included breakfast was more than adequate. Don’t miss fresh cider and local jam. I had dinner in the restaurant and the Spaghetti Carbonara was very good, with smoked Guanicale or pork cheek. The staff was polite but not very helpful in talking about local attractions. I think their awkwardness at their language skills must have embarrassed them. They were as helpful as expected. I was in shoulder season so it was quite empty. I like it that way. I suspect that the restaurants in the square get noisy at night.

Centrally located in Sighisoara, a 2-minute walk from the Mediaeval Citadel, Hotel Central Park houses the Restaurant & Wine bar with Romanian and international dishes, a summer garden and a lounge... Loved this big, glamorous hotel. We had a room with a balcony on the 1st floor. The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was good and in a lovely big dining room. Hotel placed in the center, walking distance to everything. We appreciated the parking on the closed hotel lot.

Newly opened in 2014, Hotel Tempo is 200 metres from the Mures River and 1,500 metres from the centre of Targu Mures. Spacious, bright, clean room. Big safe parking and restaurant has a great terrace. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is also great.

Casa Lia is a guest house located in the centre of Sighisoara Fortress, right next to the Shoemakers Tower and just 200 metres from the Clock Tower. Marius is perfect host. We received welcome drink and cake and had perfect conversation. He helped us with parking as well.

Hotel Boutique Bulevard is located in the centre of Sighişoara and offers elegant and spacious rooms with free WiFi and minibar. We had a great stay at this hotel. The young staff at the reception were extremely professional , friendly, and helpful with everything we needed.

Situated in a historic building in the heart of Sighişoara, An der Holztreppe offers apartments with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. A huge and cosy apartment with antic furniture. One can really feel the Sighisoara atmosphere. However, there is a modern bathroom and everything that a modern people might need. There is no parking at the site but you can drive your car to the building, leave your luggage and move the car to the parking at the foot of the citadel (or to park it for free on the street in the neighbourgood behind the paid parking). No-key entrance system, much convenient. Warm enough. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Situated in Sovata, 7 km from the ski slope and 200 metres from Ursu Lake, Vila Silvia features free WiFi, free access to a sauna and a fitness centre, as well as a large yard with a barbecue and an... A perfect choice in a perfect location for lovers of easy hikers or trail runners. A nice, welcoming host. All you need: breakfast, shower, a lamp near your bed (that's what I needed most). You also have some outdoor equipment for calisthenics. A parking also is provided.

Historic hotel, full of authenticity and a magic place where history was written. Staying there is like “going back in time”.

Centrally located in Sighișoara Medieval Citadel, Casa Cositorarului is a guest house with mediaeval decorations providing views of the citadel and a restaurant serving Romanian cuisine. I have stayed in 50+ hotels the last 10 weeks. This is probably the best one. It sits quite high on the already hilly old town of the fairy tale town av sighisoara. The owner is cool and sweet. She will help you with every possible enquiry. So host and location is top class. Now, the rooms. Sometimes you come across someone who cares. Who seems more interested in fulfilling a vision and passion, rather than just squeezing out as much money as possible. The bed is for princesses and princes. Incredible. The quality and charm of the decor is to die for. The bathroom is a spacious and bathtub such a lovely bonus. Fridge works great, with a top drawer freezer compartment. The bar is just downstairs with a great menu for salads and omelette etc. And coffee drinks and cocktails. All you need! Staying here will be an experience In itself. I really recommend it with utmost sincerity. Cheers!
