Housed in an old harbour warehouse, the Home Hotel Packhuset boasts spectacular views of the Kalmar Sound and the Öland Bridge. Some rooms feature exposed wooden beams, timber walls and free WiFi. This was such an unexpectedly pleasant stay! Location is good, it's a walkable and convenient distance from Kalmar C station and Kalmar Castle. The common spaces feel cosy and the rooms are really decently-sized and comfortable. It is cool that they refurbished this hotel from an old warehouse. There were also free coffee and tea (of a good variety!) for guests. We had both breakfast and dinner included in our package, which is a bit unusual for a hotel, but the dinner served was delicious, and I don't think we would have a more enjoyable meal outside anyway. Staff were really friendly too. Fantastic accommodation, it's such a pity we only stayed one night!

Located next to Bunn Lake in Gränna, 10 km from Grenna Museum, Bauergården features a common terrace where you can enjoy views of the garden. A communal sauna offers relaxation. Excellent breakfast, staff was very friendly, facilities were top class and the restaurant was great. The whole place gave the sense of hospitality and a genuine feeling that everyone was proud of where they worked.

Hotell Hamnen is in Färjestaden and features scenic views over the Kalmarsund Strait from all rooms. Rooms here will provide you with a flat-screen TV, balcony and sea views. A glorious apartment with a beautiful harbour view. Immaculately clean and surpassed all expectations. Highly recommend.

Situated in the town of Kosta, 50 minutes’ drive from Växjö, is Kosta Boda Art Hotel. This unique design hotel offers a spa and rooms with free Wi-Fi access. The art and wonderful service. Best dinner we had in Sweden.

Featuring a gym with lake views, Vox Hotel is 600 metres from Jönköping Central Station and 3.5 km from Elmia Exhibition Centre. It offers rooms with modern décor, a rain shower and a flat-screen TV. Very nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy and felt valuable. The breakfast was delicious. I really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff.

Location is very nice, the view is great, the facilities are good if the room for 2 adults. Liked the cookies at the reception along with the cold water and hot beverages.
