Overlooking Charleston City Market on Market Street, this historic French Quarter Inn welcomes guests with champagne at check-in and serves a free daily gourmet continental breakfast. Waterfront Park is 450 m away. We visited Charleston for the first time as a family of four with our two teenage boys age 13 and 16. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional. Special thanks to the valet who ran upstairs to find out if our room was ready early (it was) and had our car parked and bags in our room before we even got there! We especially loved the complimentary milk and cookies each night (8:30-9:30 pm) and Detox Water and lemonade any time we needed it after hours of walking and sightseeing. This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in largely because of the friendly staff including the cleaning staff. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Overlooking Historic Charleston Harbor and Waterfront Park, this luxury boutique hotel features elegant rooms with a 49-inch flat-screen TV and free WiFi. Extras include a free afternoon wine and cheese reception and rooftop skyline tour. The hotel is lovely, but the staff, amenities and the location are the real stars. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and bright. The staff were very welcoming, extremely pleasant and helpful. A wonderful breakfast and afternoon wine/cheese were provided with the stay, as well as coffee and cold beverages all day - what a bonus! The location couldn't have been better - near to the waterfront, Rainbow Row and the Battery park. We were lucky to be there on a day when the hotel provided a short complimentary guided-tour of the harbor/park/surroundings along with an interesting and informative historical overview of Charleston. All in all, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.
