One of the best places we have ever stayed at… well-maintained, excellent view of the Capitol building, great food at their bar and restaurant… very friendly staff except for the cleaning lady, who had a bit of attitude.

Just 1 block from the University of Wisconsin campus, this boutique Madison hotel is situated alongside Lake Mendota and offers panoramic views of the city and lake. The Graduate was a perfect place for us to stay for 1 night due to the location, the aesthetic and the hotel staff. As an alumna, I took a quick trip to Madison to show my children where I went to university, and it was the perfect place to stay. We could easily get to key university points - Memorial Union, Library Mall, State Street, Bascom Hill, etc. In the morning we took a lovely walk on the Lakeshore Path, and enjoyed scenic views of Lake Mendota. The cafe and restaurant also provide a fun atmosphere. If you are pressed for time, and want to see many of the university spots, I highly recommend this hotel.

Offering a full kitchen in every room, this downtown Milwaukee hotel is 4 minutes’ walk from the Lake Michigan waterfront. Free WiFi access is available. The hotel is a really old historic building which is amazing. The restaurant is clearly popular both at lunch time and dinner, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the waiting staff are exceptional. The lady on reception was so helpful and friendly and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I wasn't expecting ironing facilities so was pleasantly surprised to find one available in the room. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay again.
