Stayed here with my dog and my brother, who was visiting from London. The location is not too far from the park, and the drive to get there is scenic and enjoyable. We loved having a kitchenette, which made meals convenient. The onsite restaurant was decent for the location—though we visited in the off-season, so it might be even better during peak times. The property felt safe, and one of the highlights was being able to hear the river—it was incredibly soothing. There are nice hangout areas by the river, complete with swings and other relaxing spots. Overall, the atmosphere was tranquil. Bonus points for the dog-friendly features, like a designated dog park and poop bag stations. Check-in was smooth, and the stay was comfortable. Would definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway!

Located in historic Mariposa just 70 km from the west entrance to Yosemite National Park, this motel offers free Wi-Fi. All uniquely-decorated guest rooms offer mountain views. Beautiful room in a perfect location! The inn is run by its owners and you can tell by the attention to details, you have everything you might need in the room plus a very friendly and comforting welcome. I wish we had stayed there longer and I would recommend it to anyone!

Located 12 miles from the eastern entrance of Yosemite National Park, this June Lake resort offers free Wi-Fi, an indoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a spa. Peaceful, beautifully decorated in a rustic style combined with modern amenities such as a spacious pool and a spa, and friendly staff. The room was large and we loved that our unit had a balcony overlooking the little pond. Loved our stay!

Located in California gold country and 39 km away from Yosemite National Park, the Groveland Hotel features individually decorated rooms equipped with free WiFi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our TV was not working in our room and the staff went out of their way to give us a new TV.

Conveniently located 13 miles from Yosemite National Park, this Oakhurst guest accommodation offers an in-room coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The location (close to Yosemite Park like 25 minutes of the south entrance by car), the view and the staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was also very clean.

Located in Mammoth Lakes in the Inyo National Forest, the Mammoth Creek Inn offers a shuttle seasonal service to Mammoth/Yosemite Airport. Guests can relax in the on-site sauna. Cozy rooms! With sliding glass doors that lead out to a deck and a lovely view of the mountains. It feels a bit like staying in a cabin more than a motel. We have stayed here nearly every holiday for the last 9 years.

This resort is located in Mammoth Lakes and is within 5 minutes' drive of the Inyo National Forest. It offers a golf course, a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub. Customer service was excellent.
