The Oystercatchers Haven at Paternoster is situated right on the beach and just 2 minutes' drive from the village centre of Paternoster. It offers a plunge pool and en-suite rooms with sea views. This is one of my favourite places to stay in the entire South Africa. The boutique hotel is seamless, service warm and professional, room spacious and elegant. What makes it special, though, is its position straight on the beach, offering breathtaking views, specially at sunset.

Windtown, a resort situated in Langebaan along the West Coast, features a water sports centre providing SUP boards and kite surfing equipment rentals and lessons. Great location and wonderful staff. Comfortable spacious room and loved the in house spa for our morning massages!

The ah! Guest House is situated in the fisherman’s village of Paternoster, 6 km from Cape Columbine Lighthouse. It features air-conditioned rooms with and free WiFi in the rooms and public areas. Fantastic welcome from Arnold Hoon. We were given a lovely bedroom upstairs with great facilities facing the veld. It had all the amenities needed from gorgeous fragrant toiletries to coffee and tea-making facilities; all well-spaced and compact. On the same level, we shared a charming terrace with other guests to have sundowners enjoying a view of the sea and beach. The ah! Guest Lodge is only about 150 metres from the sea. Safe parking outside and is within walking distance of restaurants and some shops. We had great assistance with our flat car battery. Although we had to leave very early the next day, we delved into a fabulous fresh fruit breakfast and coffee. Good value. What a charming arty guest house. Loved it! We would certainly stay here again and stay longer.

Experience Coastal Elegance at Abalone Hotel & Villas Nestled just 200 metres from the pristine beach of Paternoster, Abalone Hotel & Villas offers an exquisite 5-star retreat that harmoniously blends... Jan the manager was extremely helpful and helped us with another booking in February. All the staff were most friendly. The room was comfortable and especially the bed. The parking was easy.

Boasting fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean, perfect for watching Southern Right Whales, this deluxe 4-star lodge is nestled in the dunes of Shelley Point. Everything was great as as others have said. But I want to point out to potential future guests how perfectly orientated this property is. Because it faces north it gets the best of the sun during the day without blinding sunsets, so you really can enjoy the view all day long. Plus it is well protected from the infamous Cape southeaster wind. The proximity of a rocky outcrop provides the added visual interest of waves breaking and birds gathering. There is direct access to the lovely shoreline path with its local flora (some with nicely annotated name tags) and birdlife. Apart from the marine animals (seals, dolphins) and birds (including the distinctive African Black Oystercatcher, of course) we were delighted by an apparently semi-resident tortoise and visits by guinea fowl and a steenbok.

Paternoster Place offers self-catering accommodation in a quiet private road and just 3 minutes' walk from the beach. Centrally located, the property is within walking distance to restaurants. This stay was fantastic. It's perfectly situated to be able to walk to the beach and down the main street to restaurants and shops. The room was very spacious, clean with everything you would need.. we really enjoyed our stay.
