The host is super. The house was real house, not a cheap made B&B house for rent. I respect the works they put in the house. The view was spectacular. The location is just wonderful in a small town above Locarno. They have parks, and a grocery store where they sell fresh pastry. There are cafes and reasonable restaurants in the area, too. Our kids went crazy using buses and cable cars to go back and forth between the Locarno city centre and the lake. Thank you!

Excellent breakfast, and the homemade gnocchi was to die for.... The view as stunning, all you need is a book and a coffee and you could spend the whole day at the terrace.

Lovely view. Amazing to sit outside in the garden and to watch the world go by. Clean property. Regular bus with a stop close by. Fantastic access to Locarno and Ascona. Would definitely stay again! The couple who own the place are really helpful.

The lake view from the room is amazing. Breakfast was great. The room is big,clean. The house keeper was generous and attentive. I told her that I would like to change the sparkling bottle water to be mineral water. She immediately did it and ask me the room number and said that tomorrow she would place only bottle of mineral water to my room.

Beautiful property and spacious room with luxe feeling. Room had a fantastic view and of course the pool area was just fabulous. We travelled with our baby and the touches for him were so cute and appreciated - they even had a baby bath there we could use !! Everything was top notch and we only had room service dinner but it was great, however the restaurant looked incredible for dinner.

Hotel is impeccably clean, even the windows are spotless. Great shower, stunning views of the lake. The owners were very helpful and kind. Parking in front of the hotel made it very easy. Great breakfast. Loved our stay here.

Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.
