The hotel is in a perfect location--right on the lake--for exploring Lugano. It's only a short walk from the train station, so it was exceptionally convenient. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is served in a beautiful room overlooking the lake with a full range of choices for breakfast. You can't go wrong booking this hotel. If we return to Lugano, the Walter will be our #1 choice.

Great location, close to the attractions of Lugano yet in a quiet spot. Buses right outside door, walking distance to bars and restaurants and waterfront. Beautiful streets around. Reception staff were very helpful at all times with great English skills available and ready advice about accessing attractions. But were also especially helpful in arranging an appointment for timely medical treatment. Meals were great and all staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely would stay there again! Top marks!

The Hotel de la Paix is near Lake Lugano, about 1 km from the city centre and the train station. It offers an out-door pool, free WiFi, free parking on site and free minibar use.

We enjoyed so much the Hotel installations and the staff. The breakfast was so good - in line with everything at the hotel - as well as the restaurant.

The Hotel Acquarello is located in the Old Town of Lugano, right at the lower terminus of the funicular connecting the centre to the main railway station.

Everything is very beautiful, raffined and leggiero :) Breakfast, details of decoration in the room, incredibly good location (beautiful shops in vicinity :) ), and a calm night inspite of its position on a square of the town's centre. I even managed to swim in the lake, not far from the hotal location. The hotel stored the luggage for free after my check out!
