The owner was really attentive. He helped us to get best of the region with a small child within 2 days thanks to his recommendations. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were so clean that I almost felt like home. The location is close to the Thun center and is by the lake.The hotel provides panoroma cards that provides free or discounted public transport.

We stayed in the guard tower room, which is a bit different from most of the rooms in the hotel. It's right above the castle gate, with windows on 3 sides, but since the walls are 70cm thick and made of stone, it's very well insulated from noise. The conveniences/electrical system were slightly constrained by the fact that we were surrounded by thick stone, but they nonethless did a great job of making a beautiful, comfortable, and engagingly quirky room. Breakfast was also exceptional, with some of the best bread and pastry I've had in Switzerland.
