Staying at Heitan was a lovely experience allowing a calming and relaxed getaway from Xiamen city. It was lovely to drink tea under the trees in the courtyard and to bask in the atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful, they kindly met us at the pier from where our ferry arrived and helped direct us to the hotel. As it was winter solstice, they also kindly made us delicious tang yuan to celebrate.

The building was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the staff were amazing! The lovely guy on reception gave me a great dinner recommendation, then went above and beyond to post some items to my next stop that I’d left behind! So helpful, generous and kind. Hotel is in close proximity to the tourist spots, and I highly recommend staying in the beautiful spot of you have a long layover in Xiamen!

Ellie is the perfect go-to person for someone who were first timers in Xiamen like us -- hardly any difficulty in communicating. She is very helpful in person and online, and quite dependable. Location of the hotel is accessible, quite near a bus station that we used to go to Gulangyu ferry terminal, and accesses to the beach. She has some good recommendations too.

Perfect location to see Gulangyu Island and see the ferries that travel there. Short walk to Zhongshan Rd. My seaside 8th floor room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast selection was great. Overall, great place to stay. I will most definitely stay there again when in Xiamen.
