The location is great. Just cross the street and you can take the line A to the Tianmen mountains. Nearby there are restaurants and massage places. There is a shopping street about 20 min by walking. And you can take the bus from there to the airport or the railway station.
The staff gave me water daily which I like. There is a tv in the room and something to warm the water.
The room has curtains to block the light and the street is quiet at night. The hotel is also soundproof so I could sleep very well at night

An absolute incredible stay!
We loved our stay at Heaven's Gate Homestay, the owner and his family were especially nice, he helped us book tickets for the National Park, gave us recommendations on which routes to take and overall made our life much easier when we were in Zhangjiajie. The room was also spotless, big and very modern. The location is only 5min away from the town. Pefect stay and would definetly come back.

I am so glad I chose this inn.
The front desk was stylish, the rooms had a Chinese feel, and most importantly, the staff was friendly and impressed.
When we checked in, they asked us where we wanted to go around and suggested a route for free, in Chinese or English.
We planned to visit Forest Park on the first day and Tianmenshan on the second day, and they suggested a slow route that took an hour the day before.
It was also very helpful that we could communicate in English since we were Japanese.
Thanks to them, we had a fulfilling trip in a short time and I really appreciate it.
I recommend this place to stay for sightseeing in Zhangjiajie.

Many thanks to Lucas and Lili, they were so helpful with tips, specifically organizing our short visit to the national park and Tianmen mountain. Lucas drove us to the train station, and we manage to reach our train although we were very late!!

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff spoke little English but were very helpful when I used the translator app. My original room smelt like cigarette smoke and when i asked to change, they were very accommodating. There was also free use of laundry machines at the hotel.
