I really liked the location — it was close to all the main attractions we wanted to visit, and everything was within walking distance.

The location of the hotel is the best you can find in Hamburg, for a comfortable and value for money stay. For example, you can move towards many attractions just walking distance from hotel (usually less than 20 mins walk). We walked from hotel for ~18 mins to Miniature Land, 15 mins to shopping street; Neuer Wall, 15 mins to Hafen City & 10 mins to Chocoversum. We also went to Isemarket that opens only on Tues & Friday (8am-2pm) and we went by train, where the stairs down to train station is just right in front of Novotel main entrance door. Its a smooth 9 mins ride. We also took the train to Elbetunnel; the train ride itself was only 7 mins. If u are travelling across Europe, and stopping in Hamburg, its probably best to stay here, because Hamburg Hbf main train station, is less than 10 mins walk from hotel. We stayed for 4 nights here, and a after a few days the walk just seems to pass hy faster being familiar and comfortable around the area. We don't need to spend money on taxi/uber as these usually cost us quite a bit when we stayed further than city in other European cities. Walking with 2 large luggages and 2 ruscksacks with a toddler is no joke so we always end up taking taxis/Uber whenever we reach station to go to our accomodation. It is the best decision here in Hamburg when we decided to stay in city centre though bit more pricey than outskirt hotels, but we saved on Uber/taxis that balances it out. Its so much motivating to go out and explore the city, knowing everywhere is near. At the main station itself there are so many shops there including supermarket, food stalls with cheap food (€7 for one kebab that's huge where 3 asians can eat).
