It was very clean, comfortable and soacious.The garden was exquisite. Our host was very helpful and friendly. I wish we had more time and stayed longer.

Set in beautiful grounds, our stay at Domaine de la Barbinais far exceeded our expectations. As three girls travelling together, we booked a triple room to keep accommodation costs down. We thought it would be small and cramped as our previous experience with other stays on our journey through Europe had been. It was the total opposite! Roomy and spacious with a great view of the lovely gardens, it was very clean and beautifully presented. What amazed us was that when you're there, it's like you're miles away from anywhere with such wonderful privacy and seclusion, but you're actually only a few minutes away from a great shopping centre and a few more from the ferry in St Malo! Great parking too by the way. We only had one night's stay at Barbinais as we had to catch the ferry back to Jersey early the next morning. The three of us agreed we wish we'd been able to stay longer. To top it all, we'd had a long drive back from Spain and were thirsty and hungry when we arrived in the late afternoon. We were thrilled when we were able to buy a cold beer and sit outside in the beautiful gardens and then the host of Barbinais, a lovely lady who's name I wish I had (next time!) - came out and gave us a plate of fabulous complimentary home made apple pastries! We couldn't believe our luck! I don't think there's any possible way they would be able to do that for all their guests but we were very thankful that day. Would highly recommend this place. It is wonderful !

This apartment is wonderful, we were greeted by a very lovely gentleman who even though we couldn't speak french made us very welcome and tried very hard to explain how everything works and told us local attractions and restaurants nearby. The apartment was beautifully decorated and full of character, it has lovely ambient lighting and a functional kitchen
