The Peter Scott Hotel is managed together with the more modern Edgbaston Park Hotel (EPH) just on the opposite side of the road. This means, they share the same reception desk, and guests will need to go to EPH first to get the keys. All other facilities such as bar and restaurant are also located at EPH. This is just the way they manage, and the instructions are clear on Booking. I have no issues with it, and some of the comments who dislike this are unfair.

Set in leafy grounds, just a mile from Birmingham city center, this historic hotel offers home-cooked food and elegant rooms with free internet.

This is a small hotel, with great staff and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised. It is less than a year old, so everything is new and in good repair. This is a minimalist property, if you want big chandeliers and a fancy lobby, this isn't the place. The rate was very good compared to some near by properties. There are a number of places to eat within 5 minutes walk, with great variety, as well as a couple of small markets with a decent selection of foods and sundries. A small cafe is 100 feet away with exellent food, and reasonable prices open 6 days a week. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and safe property at a very good price, the LIV shouldn't disappoint you.
