I was a student in London in the 70/80s, and the city is still its wonderful self. Visitors should make sure they absorb pub culture, visit a couple of museums covering something they love, of course do the royal pagentry thing and blag to everyone they met King Charles without mentioning the minor detail it was some stranger's King Charles spaniel.

One of the world's great cities continues to appeal as the first and best foreign location for American and English-speaking visitors. Excellent transportation network of bus, tube and train connect to everywhere in the country from London. Friendly residents who give directions with a smile.

Every time I visit London I come across something new!!

Every time I visit London I come across something new!! There is so much to see and do that one visit will never be enough. We had a 3 year old and a pram so we prioritised travel by bus instead of underground and it couldn't have been easier, especially with the google map app. Make sure you see all the main tourist attractions but also Camden Town, Covent Garden and Borough Market. Although Borough Market can be way too busy; it is a victim of its own success.

London in recent years appears to have lost grip of reality, the prices for what at best is poor/average food or service is to the point we simply laughed out loud. The theatre bar was £23 for two single gin and tonics; a pint and med white wine £20, seriously, and the service is awful. Food was also think of a number. Its became a tourist rip off zone. Only area still quality is the black cab drivers who cost about same as 10 years ago and remain font of knowledge. We will be in no rush to go back. Can get flights to European city, better hotels, cheaper prices; and still have great time, and cheaper.

The hotel has obviously recently been refurbished, was very clean. Fridge in the room with milk and juice and choice of cereals for breakfast which you prepared yourself. When checked in, the person showed me up to my room on the 2nd floor and carried up my bag. Imagine that with Premier Inn or Travelodge. There were 4 parking spaces in front of the hotel so pot luck for a space and parking about 300 mts away for only £7.20 per day in, Westerfield Rd, London N15 5LD. Bar down stairs with Mexican food available

Beautiful apartment in a lovely part of south London. Very quiet despite being so close to Balham high street and the train station. Lots of room for everybody, lovely bathrooms, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with Andy and Georgia. We picked this apartment as it was close to where our daughter works in London. We’ve stayed at many hotels and apartments in the 3/4 years she has lived there and this has definitely been our favourite.
