The stay was exceptional and I usually leave strict reviews. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. They even cleaned our room two times per day. Breakfast was exceptional, I wish it was closer to Europe so I could come back every year!

Our stay at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was, quite simply, impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the Palace lived up to its considerable reputation. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently exceptional — perfectly trained, unfailingly courteous, and ever attentive without being in the least intrusive. Every request was met with effortless efficiency. Breakfast each morning in the Sea Lounge was an absolute highlight — a splendid combination of buffet and à la carte offerings, all of the highest quality. The selection was truly impressive, catering to every palate with ease and refinement. We particularly appreciated the calm, elegant setting overlooking the Arabian Sea, while the live musician performing outside added an understated charm to the mornings. We would, however, recommend arriving before 9 a.m. to avoid the later rush. A small but thoughtful gesture exemplified the essence of Taj hospitality: upon mentioning to the breakfast manager that I had a mild stomach ache, he immediately arranged for fresh coconut water — a simple act of kindness delivered with genuine concern. Additionally, I appreciated the manager of the Shamiana restaurant going out of his way to package a couple of servings of rasmalai for us. We also greatly enjoyed the hotel’s guided tour, which was a delightful blend of joviality, history, and insight. It offered a deeper appreciation of the Palace’s remarkable heritage and the many stories woven into its walls. We happened to stay during Diwali, and the festive atmosphere only enhanced the ambience. The hotel was beautifully adorned, yet the sense of calm and refinement remained perfectly intact. The concierge, too, was flawless — there seemed to be no request they could not manage.

The room was well appointed, although a little smaller than I expected, but very comfortable with pillow options and good blackout curtains. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order with a great choice of local and western options, plus a buffet for fruit and pastries. We had a wonderful waiter called Jason who made our mornings extra special with his recommendations and excellent service. The doormen were also fantastic, always courteous and helpful when our Uber went to the wrong pick up! We loved the location of the hotel as it was less frantic then other places and very peaceful, it's also great to walk along Marine Drive in the evenings and people watch. We had a great stay!

The home is beautifully decorated with a private room complete with air conditioning. Close proximity to many popular landmarks in south Mumbai and within ~30-40 minutes to airport. Mr. Ferreira and his assistant Pandu were communicative, friendly, and with a wealth of local recommendations. Breakfast each morning was delicious.

The staff were very accommodating, helpful and pleasant.

We had Trident Club Rooms and felt it was excellent value with all of the extras included. Loved having breakfast in the Club Lounge where it was less busy, but had plenty of food variety. Rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Would definitely stay again and get Club Rooms. Lovely personal service.
