The staff were exceptionally responsive -- from Anil who checked us in to Daia and Senthil and Karuna who served us dinner, and everyone else we encountered. The decor was minimalist, the rooms were spacious and bright, and the location was convenient for walking around. We had a couple of meals at the hotel, both of which were outstanding -- the moringa soup and the poached egg with bacon powder are must-haves.

Really enjoyed a relaed and quiet stay here. All positive and you are right in the middle of White Town. The enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food eas fantastic 😋 👌. Highly recommend.

The guesthouse had been completely and beautifully renovated—everything was simply amazing. The staff took care of every detail, and we felt truly looked after. We absolutely loved the design of the hotel, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast, served in a nearby café, was delicious and of excellent quality. This was the best place I’ve stayed at in India so far. We can highly recommend it!

Beautiful old french heritage property , in a super location . The Manager and all staff were super helpful and always happy and wanting to provide great service - thank you ! Thanks for helping us book onward travel . The discount cards for La Villa Shanti were great too . Would definitely recommend .

The food offered was excellent. Service a little odd. First day, I got coffee at very end of meal. Second day I got EVERYTHING at once. Abby made a point of me wanting to know her name, was she soliciting a good review?Bc the next day she seemed put off. I simply didn’t understand her or what she eanyoof me. Great location within walking distance (or by auto) for all major sights. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you, always smiling. The breakfast was fabulous with so much food; it is definitely a hotel for foodies. We can’t wait to go back to Pondicherry and the Villa Shanti!

The staff were outstanding and responsive. They put service front and centre. Call out to Padmini the housekeeper who went above and beyond to make our stay better. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the sights in French quarter. The manager Kavitha is fab! The courtyard restaurant, greenery and I have to mention my favourite cocktail, the green mango margarita!
