Apartment is situated in residential building on the 1st floor. Elevator is there but not needed in fact. Apartment is big with high ceiling, nicely furnished. It has all needed equipment. Owner is helpful and responsive, he was kind to prepare some small snacks in the fridge so even if you come later, there is something small to eat and drink.

Visiting Verona for work at a theatre festival, I needed a functional base, that wouldn't break the budget. Verona is not the cheapest place to stay, so compromising on location was the easiest way to keep costs reasonable. And I wanted somewhere to cook and to work. This more than satisfied all those requirements. It's a comfortable apartment with everything you need to live as though at home. For those who are driving, there's a car parking area close by (I've no idea what the conditions are as I was on public transport). It's about 50 minutes walk into town, but there are very regular buses from just across the road, easily available scooters and bikes (bring a helmet to be legal) and a taxi costs around 20 euros. There's not a lot of shopping very close by, but plenty within a decent walking distance. It's nice too to be in a normal residential area with people and everyday sounds. And the adjacent church is spectacular.

The hostel is in a quiet part of the city, just outside the city center. We stayed in a double room with a balcony and it was more like a hotel room, than a hostel. Simple, clean, quite big, had floor heating, which was a plus. Everything was great. Also, there's a really nice bakery very close to the hostel (pasticceria Gloria).
