Beautiful Japanese house in the cozy neighbourhood area. We loved it so so much! The owner 小林 is superb kind & friendly! I had a great stay! I mistakenly went to the wrong property branch by following google maps which was like a 20-mins walk away . When I called them, the manager himself came to pick me up by his car to drop me at the right place. The facilities were more than sufficient for a solo traveller to rest for a night and the building was so lovely with a cozy, traditional Japanese touch.

The breakfast was amazing, the room was very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful and kind. It was great to be able to book the Onsen and for it to be available for private use. It was also within walking distance of the station and within easy reach of Kofu by train.

Metei no Yado Kosher is a traditional ryokan in the small town of Isawa Onsen. The property is stunningly beautiful. The hotel rooms surround a traditional Japanese garden that is magically beautiful. Everything is considered. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a public onsen but there are also private onsens, saunas, and hot rock bed rooms, which was great because you can enjoy the benefits in private, if you prefer this, rather than with others (which is the usual Japanese way). The food was also exceptional. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

I consider this real Japanese experience , it was a bit cold in the evening but they have proper duvets so you will warm up. There is onsen 15 min away by car, amazing view of the valley, and we rented a car a went to mount Fuji and lakes around , as a non driver on the left side of the road this was perfect location, not too busy like Tokyo. The view from the room is very zen.
