Very remote from where the tourists are - I had a car so it was easy to access and easy to drive my big luggage up the hill. Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

Cozy living area. It well presents the transitional Japanese home but also comfortably provides two kinds of sleeping (beds or tatami) to accommodate people with different needs. The dinner is super delicious and feels like we are enjoying it in a Michelin stared restaurant.

Everything. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they presented us some small gifts and upgraded the room for free. The meals we had was excellent, with the best ingredients and service. Onsen was amazing, comfortable and private. Absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Food was wonderful, such a great quality of ingredients, so filling, and totally worth it for the price. The place was amazing and calm, and both the private bath, and the family one was clean, comfortable and great. The location is really close also to the lake, and the main street to explore during the day. Futon was really comfortable, and they provided a kotatsu since it was really cold outside. It was a dreamy traditional japanese stay.

The accommodation is well located. Super near the Yufuin JR station and there were many restaurants and mart nearby too. Accommodation was super comfortable and the bed is big! 3 rooms, 2 rooms with 2 super single beds and 1 room with tatami setup. The place was so clean and well-equipped. The host has been very helpful too whenever I had questions, deeply appreciate. Overall we enjoyed it a lot!

It was my first visit to Yufuin, and I came here with my parents for a family trip. Our two-night stay at this ryokan was truly unforgettable — one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had.
The room was in excellent condition, and the view was simply breathtaking. The sight of Mt. Yufu through the large window was absolutely stunning. The private onsen in the room was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor baths, and we could even adjust the water temperature to our liking.
The TV supported YouTube and phone mirroring, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner twice, and each meal in our private dining room was exceptional.
Most importantly, the service was outstanding. Every staff member was kind and attentive, but I especially want to mention Mr. Nepali, whose thoughtful and detailed service made our stay even more special.
We had a wonderful time here, and I highly recommend this ryokan to anyone visiting Yufuin.
