The Arcadian was our last stop on a week-long South Island road trip, and what a way to finish - it was the best night’s sleep we had the entire trip. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent pressure, which was most welcome after a long day of driving. Hosts Lauren and Peter were welcoming and helpful. The location is great too, with a convenience store within easy walking distance. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

I love the concept of tiny homes so this was great to be able to stay in 1! Everything was spotless and the added condiments, plenty of towels & warmth of the accomodation was great! Very easy to find with heaps of on street parking, it was effortless to find the property, get the keys & settle in. We really enjoyed it

Great staff, the room is old-fashioned but it goes with the castle's atmosphere. Otherwise, the room was clean and very comfortable and the view on the peninsula is just amazing!

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was good, the location was good and the guest house was very clean and looked very nice! I would definitely stay here again!

The building is old and beautiful. It's kept clean and well maintained. The room is clean and nice. Views are amazing. The staff is friendly and professional. We had to leave early on our first morning there to catch the train (before the hotel breakfast time). But they cooked breakfast for us earlier. It was so nice of them.
