The apartment was perfect and had everything we could wish for. Also what we really liked is that it was very well equiped and it had washing powder, soap for the dishes, and basic items like oil/herbs etc.

I was lucky to find one last room for 2 nights (even when booking two months in advance!) – we would have gladly stayed longer! A magical place – just about 15 minutes by car from Funchal, but the change of scenery is incredible! The hotel looks majestic, surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, and the evening mist adds a mysterious touch. The Monte Palace is right at the foot of the famous Monte Palace– it almost feels like the hotel is part of it! Our room was very nice (though the bathroom could use a bit of modernizing), and everything was spotless. Breakfast was very good – not a huge selection, but it was absolutely fine! The welcome glass of champagne at the bar was a lovely detail. The style and decor throughout the common areas of the hotel were also exceptional! Out of the 4 hotels we stayed at on the island, this one was our favorite – it’s the one I’ll be recommending to my friends and family!

Everything was really great. The room, the staff, the restaurant and the position close to the city center. They also offer breakfast takeaway for who, like us, wanted to start an hike early in the morning. We didn’t find anything we would like to be improved.

Amazing appartment with an amazing view from he balcony. Very close to the beach, excellent restaurant choice in the same building as well as a well equiped Spar supermarket!! 10/10 recommend to everyone!
