Nicest landlady ever, treating guests with free food, helping with the laundry and creating an overall unbelievable welcoming atmosphere. If you are lucky u can hear her daughter, who majored in music, play the piano in the evening. Hostel is located directly by the lotus pond and 1.5km away from the high speed rail station zuoying, so an ideal base to explore Kahsiung.

Interesting guest house- converted from former Japanese military accommodation. Excellent stop for round Island cyclists. Staff/owners friendly and helpful. Room spotlessly clean and good water pressure. Convivial common areas. Very happy with our stopover.

The room was very large, split level with a separate sleeping area and cozy reading nook for our child. The decor was animal themed which my child loved. The main bed was huge and comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check out about 45 mins late with no extra fee. Although no breakfast is available the hotel provides fresh fruit, cookies and drinks which was wonderful, and there is a good breakfast shop a few minutes walk away. The location is in a quiet area but walking distance to Ruifeng night market and a short drive to the lotus pond.

The breakfast was great, location is good, 5 min walk to the MRT and you can get anywhere from there onwards. The staff were friendly and helpful.
