I travelled as a solo female traveller and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was in a good and safe location with two good restaurants along the street, CVS and Macy’s literally just round the corner, and a ton of shopping just a few streets away. The room while on the smaller side was spotlessly clean and very thoughtfully planned out, with everything where it should be. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar and common room was a really nice common spot, good for meeting other travellers! 100% would recommend!

Such a charming hotel from the artwork of old photographs of San Francisco, to the beautiful lobby area and kind staff. I honestly didn't want to leave.
Delicious cookies were available at no cost in reception as well as apples and drinking water. They also had fresh popcorn available (again, at no extra cost!)
I will remember my stay at the Chancellor.

Amazing hotel, loved our stay. The room was really nice, clean and spacious, with a small kitchen/ living room. Couch bed was surprisingly comfortable and big. Location was perfect, the hotel is in the center of San Francisco with a cable car station close by. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and provided great recommendations. You can even borrow movies for free.

It couldn’t be in a more perfect location to get around the city. Get a travel card and the bus, tram, cable car is just around the actual corner .
Near to music venues, stadiums, the Castro and warf. In the heart of union square if you want expensive watches and jewellery or the best cheesecake at the cheesecake factory. Couldn’t be in a better location. Ideal if you love museums and gallery’s on your doorstep. Moma and Franklin well worth the visit.
