Our cottage was spacious, with superior bed linens and towels, dining table and chairs. A quiet efficient heater made the room wonderfully comfortable in the cool mountain air. The on-site restaurant was excellent. I have never before given a rating of 10 to my accommodation. The Old Halidzor receives a10.

The stand out features were the hosts who were super kind and helpful both in person (Larissa) and via the app (Nellie). I enjoyed spending time somewhere rural, where you can breathe deeply and not constantly be surrounded by noise. I enjoyed walking around the village and taking bread from the local bakery, seeing kids on their bikes and the animals roaming. The views in the local area are genuinely breathtaking, and the property is so close to the Wings of Tatev you can see the guesthouse from above (book online to avoid queues). Dinner was delicious, and flavourful (one meat eater and one veggie). Plenty of space - the room I slept in had a double bed plus 3 singles and it was similar in the second bedroom. Adored the electric blankets! Lots of support to find drivers and help us negotiate route and price. On departure day Larissa made coffee and sat with me until the taxi arrived, and when I left I had a big hug and kiss. Really a personal stay. Thank you so much 🤍

The owners of the inn are a friendly and enthusiastic local couple. We stayed here for one night and had a great experience. Igor and his wife tried their best to help us solve problems and provided us with local travel advice. The breakfast was rich and substantial. The room was clean and tidy, and the kitchen, bathroom and other facilities were also clean. Since it is a self-built house, the facilities are somewhat different from those of star-rated hotels. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The hotel is located a bit away from the main road, but it's just a short walk and it's a lovely place to stay. The hosts are very friendly, they offer delicious food at affordable prices and they helped me to arrange a shared taxi to Yerevan. The property is modern and clean, WiFi works great.

The view, the view, the view…..just breathtaking. I travel a lot and this place has the best view out of all by far. It felt as if we were hanging, in a glass box, just by the cliff.
