Our apartment was very spacious and comfortable, having all amenities you might need - washer and dryer, dishwasher, sauna in the garden (extra towels too), and even a ping pong table. Location is perfect in the middle of Reichenau, few minutes walk there is a Billa and a Spar, and opposite the road, a lovely pizzeria offering a good selection.

The house is at a very good location for those who plan hiking in the mountains. The apartment was clean, lots of space, well furnished, great lookout onto the mountain. Host was very friendly, provided a lot of details about the possibilities and gave some ideas how to spend time. Multiple restaurants at walking distance.

Overall a great place, which still looks like in its glory, a hundred or so years ago. Mainly a seminar hotel, but happy to receive individual guests. Easy train ride from Vienna 70 min to Payerbach-Reichenau. From there the hotel offers transport, or alternatively walk 20-30 min along Schwarza river (avoid the Main Street). Indoor pool. Good breakfast in impressive historic dining room. Lunch and dinner options. Friendly staff. Good price-quality relation. (The hotel, while very nicely renovated, is not necessarily luxury, at least the parts that I’ve seen.) Good hiking options in and around Reichenau.

Hotel is amazing, much better than it looks on pictures. The location is great and it is very family and kids friendly. Food was also very good and staff was very friendly. There is a huge garden next to it, full of fruits, sheep, goats or there is a playground or place to lay down and rest, there is also a grill spot. It is a little paradise.

Exactly as pictured, fabulous breakfast, wonderful staff at both locations (sister hotels) who were so hospitable and welcoming. Access to the spa facilites was a great bonus!
