I recently stayed at Sponars Chalet for a ski trip, and overall, it was a decent experience. The best thing about Sponars is definitely the value – it's one of the more affordable options in the Perisher area, and for the price, it really delivers a cosy, social lodge vibe. The rooms are simple but clean and warm, which is all that is needed after a full day on the snow. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. If you want a place that’s friendly and reasonably priced, Sponars is a solid choice.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shared bathrooms/ showers were also very clean and spacious. Private showers with soap provided. The lady at the reception was very friendly and waited for us to arrive after we underestimated our time of arrival by a couple of hours. Breakfast was simple but good. Various creals including an option of almond milk. Some toast with simple assortment of spreads (vegemite, butter, honey and jam). And if you wanted, you could get two fried eggs, bacon, beans and two small potatoe cakes. All in all a great stay :)

Guests can choose from a range of holiday cabins, all with heating and fans. The deluxe cabins offer self-contained accommodation with all bed linen, TV, fridge/freezer, microwave and all kitchenware....

The view is fantastic! The check in instructions are very clear. The parking is just next to the house. The kitchen is complete, and the heaters work very well. The amenities building is also very interesting. The sauna works well. We met very interesting people there.

The location on the lake was lovely, visitor centre just over the road. Good base for exploring the Snowy region. Good breakfast, dinner at the bistro upstairs was also good.
