We had a great stay at this AMAR hotel hotel in Sofia! The rooms were clean, fresh, and very well-maintained. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was standard continental but delicious, with everything fresh and tasty. However, we noticed that when we arrived at 10 AM (breakfast is served until 10:30 AM), the scrambled eggs were already finished, and they didn’t replenish it. This isn’t a major issue, but it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer coming closer to the end of breakfast hours. The location of the hotel is another big plus – right in the city center, with easy access to major attractions, shops, and restaurants. It made exploring Sofia very convenient. One thing to note is that the parking space is a bit limited. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s worth being aware of if you’re traveling by car. Overall, everything was wonderful, and we’d happily stay here again! Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay in Sofia.

The location initially appealed but the quality of the hotel and the exceptional service made the world of difference. Sayda and the team at the front desk couldn't be more helpful. Wonderful room facing the cathedral and square (and the same view I had 39 years ago when it was a very different hotel). The two restaurants were excellent; the bell staff and cleaners very friendly and responsive, A very special hotel. Little things were special too: extra drinking water; ability to open the window; bedside charging; walk in shower; good reading lights; a good desk to work at etc etc.

Small flat very comfortable. Clean, air conditioning / heating, fridge, basic kitchenware, big closet, couch, small table for 2, big TV, proper curtains for the windows if you want to sleep until late and cozy illumination. Beds are comfy. There is shampoo, body gel and hand gel in the bathroom. They also provide sleepers, nice touch. Even though I didn't met anyone in person until checkout -I needed to leave the bag for few hours, which they kindly kept in their office just few meters away from the property-, the communication was very fluent since the booking was made. They sent me a message explaining when I would receive the instructions for self checkin, then, 2-3 days before arrival I got the instructions in how to do it with pictures and so on and since I arrived earlier than checkin time I wrote them via the Booking app and they told me they would let me know if the room was ready early, but that I could leave my luggage there on the meantime. Before arriving from the airport to the property they did let me know the flat was ready earlier, so I could proceed directly to self checkin. The next day they wrote me to see if everything was to my liking, that if I wasn't satisfied with anything they would fix it. Very Nice detail, I loved that. The neighbourhood does feel a little shady at night, as mentioned by other reviewers, BUT, I stayed few days so I got familiar with the area and I noticed it is only a matter of bad lighting. The place is not touristic or anything like that, which in the end is nice because you can have a nice rest at night, being a walking distance from Vitosha Boulevard, the heart of the city for visitors. Once I got familiar with the neighbourhood I noticed that when it gets dark you can see people with kids, women walking alone, people walking dogs and doing exercise in a park nearby; in the end it kind of has a local taste. I found outstanding places to eat, very local, cheap and away touristy businesses.

Very comfortable apartment, everything was new and so well put, the 2 bathrooms and balconies were really great, the beds are very comfortable, strong Wi-Fi signal aswell. Kitchen is well equipped for longe stays. The host was very kind to have it ready for us earlier than the check in time as we were coming from a long distance. The property and set have is 10 out of 10.

    Modern boutique hotel with big suite rooms, great service, perfect for families with kids as they had a small outdoor playground, indoor play room, and delicious food at their restaurant. We usually never eat at the hotel, but after a full day of walking in Sofia with a toddler and a senior we were back at 6pm, and our daughter could play a bit more there and have a nice relaxing dinner. We visited the kids Muzeiko that was not far from the hotel, and took taxis mostly to the city as it was easier for us.

    Clean, modern, very well equipped and very comfortable. The apartment complex is excellent for families with children as the central area is well secured and great for kids to play in. Lots of toys and fun things for them to do. Also the onsite restaurant is excellent. Located in a very nice part of Sofia with easy access to public transport and local shopping. Could not have been better.
