Kat was a great host - very efficient, bubbly and friendly. Hot tub on the back deck. Loved the location - at the end of a cul-de-sac in a beautiful forest. Could watch the wildlife from our window and see deer tracks in the snow in the morning. Easily the most beautiful location in Golden, about 3 Km outside of town. Needs a car to get there. We had the self contained apartment, which was lovely and although we did not expect any housekeeping, Kat did come and service the apartment twice during our 8 day stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and even supplied baking paper! Highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay in this brand-new apartment. Everything was spotless, fresh, and beautifully presented — it felt like we were the very first guests. The apartment is modern, bright, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The location was perfect for our trip, and having such a clean and welcoming space to come back to each day made all the difference. We really appreciated the attention to detail and how easy everything was from check-in to check-out. We even got to see some wildlife roaming near the property on our stay which is always great to see! Vagabond Lodge was an exceptional place to stay. It was in a fabulous location, spotlessly clean, lots of relaxing spaces to use and very tasty and fresh breakfast options. We went for our honeymoon and Ken and Lori made us so welcome and helped us plan many days out exploring this beautiful area, we will definitely be back!
