United KingdomFrom the minute we stepped off the bus from Gstaad (which stops at the front door of Panorama B&B) it was obvious this place is special. Lauenen itself is a picture perfect alpine village where you feel as though you've stepped into a Christmas card. The B&B Panorama has the most spectacular views imaginable - snow capped mountains flanked by pines dripping with snow, with beautiful ancient wooden chalets and twinkling lights in the foreground. Karen the host was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Great, filling, locally-sourced breakfast. Beautiful, warm, well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking alpine splendour. We visited for winter hiking and the trails around Lauenen must be some of the best in Switzerland. We were truly blown away by our short stay - just wish we were still there!

United KingdomThe authenticity of this chalet was amazing. It’s was warm and cosy and had amazing views; I was lucky enough to watch the sunrise above the mountains and it was magical!
I didn’t bring the correct plug adaptor or phone charger but the hosts were so accommodating they were able to provide both.
One night wasn’t long enough.

We found Switzerland amazingly baby-friendly, and this hostel was no exception. There were loads of families with young children when we stayed, having masses of fun in the playroom. If you don't have children, it's still a great spot. Friendly, comfortable living area with an honesty bar; great spread at breakfast. Our 4-year-old son enjoyed playing there. We also really liked the design both in the lobby and the room. The staff is attentive and friendly. The village (Saanen) is a short walk away and very cute. Gstaad can be reached in five minutes by car or a short bike ride. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel.
