Very nice location on top of the mountains. It takes a little courage to get to the property (by motor or jeep taxi) but the view is absolutely worth it. Once you get to the property there are plenty of organised (paid) activities in which you can participate which are very well arranged. Very friendly, English speaking, staff.

Food was great (breakfast and dinner), coffee was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The view is unbeatable! The road to reach the property is a but long and bumpy- we hired a 4x4 to drive us from the main road which made it super easy.

The hospitality at Sol de Minca was amazing. We felt so at home and taken care of by the family who created the resort. The place has a strong Permaculture vibe, with hand-built cob buildings, composting toilets, and organic food. It was far enough away from Minca that we felt we were really in the forest, but close enough to walk there. Great birding, with Mot Mots, Oropendolas, and Tanagers all over the common area.

It's a wonderful place to stay if you want peace and quiet and amazing views. The rooms had a balcony with stunning views, so did the shared terrace. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, they have a water refill station which is amazing as it reduces the amount of plastic and is very handy. The room is spacious, basic but has everything one needs. There's only cold water, but it's everywhere in this part of Colombia, just be prepared. We loved the location as it's away from the noise and pollution of Minca, but close enough to a couple of good restaurants (you must try the Japanese place 2 minutes away, the food was extra delicious and the owners are so lovely). The hidden waterfall is walkable distance too and it was our favourite one of them all - almost no people, clean and deep enough to swim. Another MUST DO is a visit to Plan B, it's a farm nearby where they do tours. It was the best experience we had so far.

The view! Best view in Minca - we recommend for short and longer stays, for shared and private rooms. Our stay was amazing. We mostly spent it by the infinity pool or going on hikes. We also took a yoga class, visited the indigenous village and the chocolate and coffee makers nearby.
