The train sultes was the perfect end to our trip in costa rica. Very Nice staff, got a Nice bread for breakfast, used the jacuzzi with amazing view. The neighborhood feels very safe, and very good restaurants around. Overall very pleased with out stay!

WOW - this is a family run hostel and you can tell they care about the guests. It is very, very clean. Your dorm bed is made for you every day - how's that for customer satisfaction! Breakfast is a cooked breakfast with fresh fruit every day. I went from the dorm to a private room when I had to extend my day. The private room was spacious and clean with balcony. There is a pretty garden where you can listen to the birds (& train that passes once in a while!). The will do your laundry (small fee). Uber rides are very inexpensive from the hostel to downtown (20min walk). I recommend this hostel and would not have extended my stay here had it not been exceptional.

I came to San Jose for my prenatal appointment at CIMA Hospital and stayed at Ester's. It was walking distance from the hospital- even for a 7 months pregnant woman. Communication with the property was very fast. Ester was a saint and helped me book an English speaking taxi driver for my early morning departure. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. If you are traveling for medical tourism or want to stay in Escazu, you can't beat this location.

Wonderful hosts - always gracious, fun, and helpful! A great neighborhood with a gate & guard 24/7, too. For fresh air, a beautiful house, delicious breakfasts, and a mountain view - The Casa Marlui is the best.

We stayed at Apart Hotel Villas del Río and really enjoyed it. The apartments are spacious, airy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. What really stood out was the staff — everyone was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re staying in San José!
